Also known as 'Subarashiki Kono Sekai', It's a Wonderful World revolves around a boy named 'Neku' and a girl named 'Shiki'- which seem to be like modern day versions of Sora and Kairi.

Note: The female lead has been called both 'Tsuki' and 'Shiki'. I'll be using 'Shiki', since it's the name listed on the Official Wonderful World site.

The game is for DS, and a release date hasn't been released as of yet. The storyline isn't all to clear, either. The game takes place in modern day Japan, in Tokyo's Shibuya district. The game features actual places- such as famous locations like Scramble Crossing (according to some reports, the most heavily trafficked crosswalk in the world) and the 109 shopping mall (reportedly the most financially successful shopping mall in the world).

The main characters, also the only ones to have their names released, are Neku and Shiki. You play as Neku, a boy who has the ability to read the hearts of others. Neku meets a young girl named Tsuki while walking through the streets. The two end up in Shibuya and are forced to play a mysterious game.

Square Enix reps have suggested that It's a Wonderful World is a bridge between games, like Chain of Memories. Although they haven't officially announced that it is a part of the KH series, they haven't announced that it's not. For now, we'll say it is, due to the whole thing with the reps saying it's a bridge between games like CoM is.

storyline:

The storyline isn't that clear, but there is something to do with 'Seven Days'. Theories that are floating around the internet suggest that Neku has been confronted by Death, and only has seven days left to live. A number, (ex. 9:44), is also shown on his palm, which seems to be an indicator of something. (ex. how much time he has left.)

Sound and music seem to be a large part of the game, too. Several scenes show Neku covering his ears, as if listening. Not to mention he's wearing headphones! Also, the baddies are called 'noise'. What the significance of music is we don't know yet, though.

The monsters you fight are known as 'noise'. The lack of Heartless and other familiar enemies is kind of upsetting, but keep open to new ideas! However, the most tragic loss is the lack of Keyblades. It's not clear if they are in them- but so far there's been nothing.

Other fan theories circulating are that they five canons are 'alternate versions' of the KH characters. Neku is Sora, Shiki Kairi. The boy with the black hat Roxas, (STOLESEIFER'SSTYLE), the little girl with blonde hair Namine. Finally, the blonde boy with the white hair and cellphone Riku. (Man, does he look fruity.) Unfortunatly, only Shiki and Neku's names have been released right now.

Note: I I have a theory that 'Namines' name will be Taiyo. Since the Kairi character' name is Tsuki (or Shiki), meaning moon, it's likely the Namine's character could be Taiyo, meaning sun.

Also, another character is shown in the game's preview scans. She's shown with short red hair, and black, almost gothic-angel like clothing. Her purpose and indentity is unclear, although it's possible she's 'Death'. Another theory is that she's part of an Organization of shinigami called 'Death Corp.'.

battle system:

As for the battle system, you seem to fight as both Neku and Shiki at the same time. How the two battles effect each other, or if it's even it's the same battle is unclear.

Neku fights on the bottom touch screen. He's been seen using magic like Thunder, Fire, and Cure. His weapon's hard to make out, although it's a long, white sword. maybe a whip- it's not clear. You use the stylus to control his attacks, although that's all we know.

Shiki, on the other hand, is on the upper screen. You use the DPad for fighting. She uses her cat stuffed animal to use magical attacks- and it dances. Yes, a dancing cat.

Battles each consist of just a few monsters to defeat and the characters' health and energy is recharged after each one. Each form of attack is limited by its energy meter at the top of the screen, making it impossible to rely on a single form of attack for too long; players will have to change things up while a depleted meter recharges. Different enemies are vulnerable to specific forms of attack; a wolf is weak to fire, while flying enemies are easily defeated by lightning.

Overall, the battle system seems complex and confusing. An auto-battle choice is available, so Shiki can fight by herself.
