This was an old movie that I learned about from the AWO podcast. It's made by Sanrio, but don't let that fool you: it's some creepy stuff, and it's often put in horror genres. And, it's basically Sasuke's entire life, but 1000 times more cruel, and with an adorable little lamb that because this twisted psycho ram. Some of the best 45 minutes of my life. Unfortunately, it's basically impossible to get here, so I had to get it off bittorent. If anime companies don't want me to download things, they need to make good stuff like this more readily available instead of say, Moon Phase or Trinity Blood.

"This is the part where Daryl tries to impersonate Justin Sevakis, but comes up oh so short. This was a movie from the 1970s released by Sanrio--best known for Hello Kitty--under the name Chirin no Suzu. It was dubbed and released here in 1983, completely intact and with nothing done to hide that it was a Japanese cartoon. However, it's been out of print for decades and there's no DVD. Daryl's invoking the statute of limitations on spoilers for this one, but suffice it to say that this might just be the most depressing children's story ever. Click here to download a 700MB torrent of a VHS capture of this. This has been out of print for decades, so hopefully Sanrio's lawyers will not have us thrown in jail for the crime of wanting people to see this.


Daryl has some nerve to say that he isn't sure of where the story originated from considering it says so right in the opening credits.

Here's Chirin at the start of the tale. Aww, he's so cute that people the world over would spend millions of dollars on Chirin brand air conditioning units.

Until the Wolf King swoops in and fucks up his Christmas. Daryl wishes he could talk like the Wolf King, or at least find the mixer settings that would enable such a thing.

Chirin is quite distraught that JESUS FUCKING CHRIST GOD DAMN IT WHAT THE CRAP IS ELMER FUDD DOING HERE OUT OF NOWHERE

And that's when things officially start to take a turn for the nightmarish..."

I doubt that will make you any less confused, but oh well!

And I'm also getting Sirius no Densetsu off of bittorent (another Sanrio movie that you can't find the vhs of anymore) so I'll tell you how that is when I finish watching it.

This is rather creepy....

The evil looking one is the coolest. >< Does the lamb pull a Donner Party/Ravenous (the latter is an awesome movie) thing on the other lambs?

I'ma guessing the wolf king kills the other sheepies and now our sheepie is going all demonic to get revenge because he went mentally insane like Sake did.

not quite, but close. The lamb first decides to train underneath the wolf so that he will be stronger than the sheep (who don't fight).

oh, so OUR sheep wants to kill the OTHER sheep...... huh....

so he's more like Itachi, then?

nope. Once he becomes an evil bastard ram, the wolf orders him to kill all the other sheep. He's about to do it, but then he sees a little lamb that looks exactly like him. Chirin freaks out and decides not to kill them. He runs out of the barn and meets the wolf. The wolf gets pissed, but Chirin's all "you can't kill them!" and then the two fight. Chirin kills the wolf, and as the wolf dies, he says that he was proud that Chirin had been the one to kill him, as he had considered him his son (weird, I know, but remember that the wolf's evil).

Chirin goes back into the barn to say that all the sheep are safe, but they're too scared and think he's a monster. They make Chirin leaves. Chirin realizes that he's all alone in the world: the sheep won't accept him and think of him as a monster, and the only one that accepted him, the wolf, was just killed by Chirin. So he wanders the Earth alone, and it ends by saying that some people could still hear the bell around his neck ringing.

The morale of the story: don't try to be what you're not

(yes, that was the entire plot of the movie, but I knew what it was about before I watched it, and it didn't spoil it for me. That, and I doubt you guys will watch it anyway).
