Dude, I was nowhere near Pyramid Head's build, but people loved my costume. Gof or it.
...But then again, if you make an Altaïr costume, it won't technically be cosplay. Altaïr is a character made by the French video game company Ubisoft, Emphasis of French. Cosplay usually refers to dressing up as a character from Japanese pop culture. Sorry buddy, You're better off as Leon, but then again, It's my damn opinion.

Pyrmaid Head's Build?

Actually, Assasin's Creed was made by Ubisoft Montreal, thus making it Canadian.

And, I probably could pull off Leon now with my hair.

Ah, that's what I thought.

Now, I dont' think i'll cosplay as Leon at Nebrascon. I mean I have his hair now (well almost), buidl ( I think), but I would never be able to get a costume or anything, plus I doubt they let you bring weapons, or even fake ones for that matter at the Con.

Cosplay, like quite a few other parts of fandom, originated with Star Trek and other scifi conventions in America.

Not necessarily. The term "Cosplay" (Short for costume play) is a Japanese term, while costuming as characters from pop culture has been around for a while. So there is actually a difference depending on what you wear as a costume.

True, the term "cosplay" was believed (there's many different stories, but this one appears to have the most evidence to back it up) to be coined by a Japanese person, founder of Studio Hard Takahashi Nobunuki. When he went to an American scifi con--World Con--in 1984, he was impressed with the costume masquerade and told his readers in Japan all about it. Because of translation issues, he couldn't translate the word "masquerade" without changing the whole concept (the translation for "masquerade" had an aristocratic air, which of course is not how one would describe any con), so he used "kosupure"--which later became "cosplay"--to describe what he saw. So, even though the term was used in Japan, it described the American phenomenon that before didn't have a name.

That's not true. They will allow fake weapons. You just have to check in at con-ops, go over a few rules, and done. So you could bring a fake weapon. I've seen plenty!

And Cheriko, The masked star that layla does probably isn't the best choice. Considering the material if you want authentacy(sp?) that material is not fun to use. And To make a dead on form-fitting Full body suit...well...you would probably want a stretchy cloth. So I strongly discourage you from trying that one. But Give ANY a try if you want. Or just prove me wrong and do the masked star's costume. It's your choice. I'm just here to offer sugestions.

I know, I did say it wasn't very probable. I just like it a lot. ^_^

Turns out though, Princess Tutu may be easier than it looks, I've already figured out how to make most of it.

Conclusion: After I finish Yuki (or maybe even before), I WILL attempt Princess Tutu.
